Welcome to the Whip Family

We're excited to have you!

What is CrossFit?

CrossFit is defined as "constantly varied functional movements performed at a high intensity."

Here's what this means:

The type of movements we perform are called functional movements. These movements include squats, deadlifts, overhead pressing, and more. They are natural, universal movement patterns that are essential to everyday life. Functional movement is safe and effective at making our everyday tasks easier. There's a reason we do each and every movement. Box step ups make climbing the stairs easier and burpees help you practice getting up if you fall. The question we always ask our members is: do you want to be able to get off of the toilet by yourself when you are 80 years old? We sure hope so!

Our workouts are performed at a high intensity. When we say high intensity, we mean we want to see you work hard. Intensity is relative to the individual. We tailor each of our workouts to suit your intensity needs. Do you want us to push you? We'll do it! Do you want us to back off and give you your space? We can do that too! Don't worry, we've got you!

Finally, our workouts are constantly varied. This means we are going outside what you are used to. We have a fair share of weightlifting, cardio, plyometrics, and gymnastics movements across the span of our programming. Don't worry, we have a lot of scaling options too! Very rarely will you ever do the same workout twice. We make sure to cover your strengths and weaknesses alike to help you reach your goals.

Now that you know what CrossFit is, are you ready to give it a shot? We promise, you won't be disappointed.
